Restaurants being fined

Restaurants being fined if changed prices are not displayed

Lifehacker today did us restaurant folk a huge favour by making it known that there are big fines being dished out if we don’t display changed prices during the public holidays. In short, a restaurant cannot display a change in price as a percentage of the displayed prices. For example – “As today is a public holiday, there will be a 20% surcharge on your bill”.  Thankfully for us, we aren’t open on public holidays :-)
